The sustainable shop CARAMBA

Our handmade shop is based in Switzerland. The workshop and place of work is Alto Trujillo, a place in one of Peru's poor districts. Our employees, the Mamitas, knit, sew and crochet for our common cause of making the world and especially life in Peru a little better. Through their work, the Mamitas are able to send their children to school, find their self-esteem again and also make new friends. This is the drive, this is CARAMBA.

The path to a more fulfilling life

We send part of the income from our fair fashion shop directly to Alto Trujillo. We primarily support the Talleres, these are the ateliers where the Mamitas learn to sew, knit and crochet in order to then create their professional income. And while the Mamitas learn, the children do crafts, play and learn. The Talleres are the safe haven for all generations.

THE POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON OUR MAMITAS
What we always notice is that there is a very special atmosphere when you visit our Mamitas. You can feel their joy and commitment because they use their opportunity to get involved and support their children and families with their craft. By purchasing from our handmade shop in Switzerland, you support the stability and development of our Mamitas and their families. We give them hope and confidence for the future.
